Character Creation:

                                                                        Choosing a Clan

I believe I mentioned Clans before, but will do so again ... these are the Clans of the Kindred allowed to players, though keep restrictions in mind, and the Sabbat storyline is not currently open - Sabbat-aligned characters are not allowed at the time being.

                                       Clans of the Camarilla

The history of the Brujah is questionable. It seems that the warrior clan supposedly founded ancient civilization in Mesapotamia and other exotic places, some of them claim Gengis Khan was one. There are also those who contend that the Brujah have never been civilized, not even by his standards . Indeed the Brujah killed their own sire, the childe of Caine who founded their very own race- which would lead one to believe that they are savage and unruly brutes. In recent nights entire clan seems to be made up of rebels, pimps, agitators gang- bangers, strippers and petty criminals, it is also true to say that many Brujah are just pure anarchists and have contributed to the decline in the Camarilla's hold.

In the defense of the clan, there are a few possibly redeeming features. The Brujah is a passionate individual, and this passion can sometimes be mistaken for aggression. Also in the face of a common enemy the  otherwise surly Brujah will show an unsurpassed unity amongst their ranks. It's true that the Brujah in general rely on chaotic behavior and physical solutions to any problems or foe they might face, but they also tend  to get away with murder on the basis of their reputations alone. Other sect members will tolerate the Brujah, because they are seen to be like naughty children who know no better. Often they are just left alone get along with things. Many respect the unified front this clan displays and there is no doubt that they are the physical muscle of the Camarilla.

What do they look like? Brujah can look any way they please, but due to their natures they tend to be bikers, punks, gangsters etc.. so street dress is common. generally Brujah are non-conformist so the more peculiar they look, the better I suppose.

What are their nickname? Perhaps unjustly, perhaps not, the Brujah are named as the Rabble.

Can I play one? Can I? Sure thing ^-^ The Brujah are totally unrestricted, so go ahead and make one :)

Where do they live? Wherever they damn well like! I'm not about to attempt to evict them!!! Mostly a Brujah family or gang will live together - they are unashamedly pack creatures, they also tend to move around and have multiple homes. In Copenhagen, the Brujah is all over the place, though they seems to prefer Norrebro and the surroundings - it is no wonder that the area has a rumor, undeservingly in the eyes of the mortal, multicultured populace, of being the most violent area of Copenhagen.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? Brujah recruit rebels without a cause and sometimes give them one. Other times they will embrace members of political factions, gang members or other anarchists or dissidents. Generally these tend to be pretty young and energetic people so teenagers are to be expected. Recently they have been recruiting a lot extreme sports lunatics- each to his own I suppose, it's all beyond me.

What kind of character is a Brujah? Well they often have criminal or military backgrounds. Crooked Cops, soldiers, militia, terrorists and political activists are common. Anyone with a cause really. Their natures tend to be aggressive or anti establishmentarian. Usually they can often be more physically strong than mentally or socially. They seldom lay claim to an illustrious sire, and such things are not important on a Brujah's short list of priorites.

What about Disciplines? - They're Celerity, Potence and Presence

What about weaknessess? - Fiery passion is at once the Brujah's blessing and curse. Though they are quick to adopt a cause, they are equally as quick to fall to frenzy. Of course, the brujah rabidly deny this penchant for excitement, and become quite hostile when the issue is raised. The difficulties of rolls to resist frenzy are two higher than normal for members of Clan Brujah.

Who's in charge? - Brujah families or gangs normally have one powerful vampire leader, but the clan as a whole is pretty disorganized. Only to be expected when you look at their make up as individuals, really. Every clan needs a figurehead, though, and Thomas Francke fits the position perfectly, being the most dominant Brujah. He also happens to be the local Scrouge.

Gangrel are loners some say descended from the Romany people, they don't have a stomach for urban living.  They live in the wilds and wilderness and are related in some respect to the werewolves - the ancient enemy of the kindred.

Also Gangrel are able to shapeshift, when you think of folklore describing a vampire transforming into a wolf or a bat you are in theory describing a Gangrel. The Gangrel don't really take much interest in the comings and goings of other vampires, they prefer the company of animals. Other kindred think of Gangrel as being quiet and reserved, but that's only a stereotype, they are just selective in the company they keep. Although they have Romany origins, the Gangrel detest Clan Ravnos, the hatred seems inbred into them.

What do they look like? In two words? rugged and grungy. They couldn't give two hoots about fashion and it shows. Often their clothing is either sparse and stretchy or just functional and free, so they can move around and/or camouflage better. Attempting to change The Gangrel would be like persuading a gorilla to wear a tuxedo- pointless and downright impractical.

Gangrel can display physical animalistic traits such as cat-like eyes, whiskers, claws and often they have long hair/fur. When they frenzy they become even more like animals perhaps having tails or talons which can remain permanent if they arn't careful. To their credit, they can often be very beautiful, in the same way a wildcat or wolf is.

What're they called? The Ooooutlanders ...  I would've called them the Wild Ones, but I don't dictate slang around here.

Can I play one?  No. Umm ... okay, you can. They're unrestricted. So, go ahead and make one. Now! :p

Where do they live? They are nomadic, they tend to take shelter anywhere they can find it. The more natural and less man-made the better. Most of the Gangrel of Copenhagen tends to live in the forests about Denmark, but in such a small country, not much has been left that hasn't been planted purposefully by Kindred or mortal authorities. The great oak forests that once dominated the country is all but gone. Regardless, the Gangrel lives where they find it best, where they are most in touch with nature - whether that be the parks of Copenhagen or Rolf Forest in Jutland.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? Gangrel don't embrace lightly, they don't get as lonely as most kindred. when they do the mortal is normally a misunderstood loner or a drifter who doesn't quite fit in mortal surroundings. They only choose people who are independent and capable of coping with the change on their own. Sires don't stay with their childer long, leaving the childe to fend for his or her self for the greater part.

What kind of character is a Gangrel? They tend to have very similar natures and demeanors, Gangrel are not very good at subterfuge and lying unlike their more worldly counterparts. You will find homeless folk, runaway kids, drifters, fugitives and loners are Gangrel archtypes. They rely on physical traits talents and skills to get by. Sometimes if they are lucky they have useful animal allies such as pet dogs, cats or birds or even a mentor to help them along.

What about Disciplines?- Animalism, Fortitude and Protean

What about weaknessess?- Gangrel are very close to the Beast Within; as they succumb to it, it leaves its mark on their bodies. Every time a Gangrel frenzies, she gains an animalistic feature. This determined by the player and Storyteller; it might be ears, a pelt, a tail, catlike eyes, a snarling voice, tusks, even or feathers. Every five such features acquired permanently reduce one of the Gangrel’s Social Attributes by one.

Who's in charge? The elder tend to get respect, but Gangrel are loners- they govern themselves. They do have a voice in the Camarilla, with their Primogen Peter 'the Spider' Vestergaard.

The Malkavian are a highly intelligent but sadly cursed clan. Every one of it's members is cursed with some form of insanity or other, this can range from an eating disorder to megalomania, multiple personalities or suicidal tendencies.  It's not easy to recognise a Malkavian's insanity to other kindred, the few who are openly insane are fearful and deadly. Malkavians are diverse and difficult to predict, but there is no doubt that they are highly intelligent and probably more organised than most other clans think.

What do they look like? Basically a Malkavian could be anyone. Some are very flamboyant, others are introverted, rich/poor, black/white there's just no telling. Normally they don't appear immediately mad, (there are not many of them walking around with a pencil shoved up each nostril anyway) Sometimes if a Malkavian suffers from multiple personalities he will change his attire accordingly. Perhaps if he manifests a female personality he will wear a dress and heels for example. How they look is anyone's guess really.

What are they called? Can you guess? Can you guess?? Yesss, we have a winner! They're called the Lunatics ^-^

Can I play one? Yep, if you wanna give me a good sheet - they're lightly restricted, but give it a real good try and you can pull it off :)

Where do they live? Wherever they like, though often they enjoy  being around desperate mortals so hospitals, slums and drinking pits are favorite haunts.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? They are again very diverse, but Mental attributes are paramount. You can expect anyone from a schoolteacher to a stand up comedian!

What kind of character is a Malkavian Take your pick they could be anyone, anywhere. Mental Attributes are always most paramount when it comes to being Malkavian.

What about Disciplines?- Auspex, Dementation and Obfuscate

What about weaknesses?Every last vampire of Malkav's blood is irredeemably insane in some form or another. Some attribute this to a curse of the blood, while other Lunatics actually call it a special blessing, a gift of insight. When A Malkavian character is created, the player must chose at least one derangement for that character at the time of the Embrace, this derangement can be temporarily fought with Willpower, but can never be permanently overcome - please check this page for info on yours: http://www.gnawed.org/derangements.html

Who's in charge? They seem to be to the outsider about as organised as a chimp's tea party. It is uncanny that in times of need they always seem to be able to unify with scary quickness. Maybe they are not as disorganised as they look, who knows. The Primogen would be Elizabeth 'Sally' Thorsen

In general the Nosferatu are spurned by other kindred, many consider them disgusting and only speak when its an absolute must. After being embraced the Nosferatu childe will spend weeks in agony as her body deforms itself. This often causes sever trauma in the Nosferatu and it's near impossible for them to openly walk amongst mortals without compromising the Masquerade. To their merit they tend to be less self obsessed than most kindred with less perchant for frenzy. Also they are true survivors. They stick together as a clan which is hardly surprising. Their greatest asset is their ability to collect and deal in information. They use their discipline of Obfuscate to their advantage. If you ever wish to know anything don't as a policeman ask a Nosferatu! they will more than likely know.

Where do they live? Out of the sight of other vampires and mortals, graveyards, abandoned buildings, sewers and subways are common haunts - the Nosferatu of Copenhagen favors the sewers of the city, which is under their absolute rule and domain - trespassers beware, for they do not look kindly on people venturing down into their world, and discovered you will most likely be - the very rats are spies that will telltale of your presence. If caught in the sewers, unless coming by invitation, you will be dealt with harshly.

What're they called? The Sewer Rats - which, does have a ring of truth to it, seeing as they live in the sewers.

Can I play one? Certainly - no restrictions here, no sir!

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? They can be anyone but are often be real nerdy kid types, drifters, recluses, social misfits or the insane. Every now and then a nasty Nosferatu may embrace a particularly beautiful mortal then gleefully watch her degenrate in agony. How naughty they are.

What kind of character is a Nosferatu Mental and Physical attributes are primary. Nosferatu are not social butterflies!

What about Disciplines?- Animalism, Obfuscate and Potence

What about weaknessess?- As mentioned, Nosferatu are absolutely loathsome to look at. All Nosferatu have Appearance ratings of zero-—cross the automatic dot right off the character sheet. Nor may they improve Appearance with experience points. Most social actions based on first impression, except intimidation and the like, fail automatically.

Who's in charge? They are not as organised as the Tremere or Ventrue but they always have a distinct pecking order amongst them all. The Nosferatu Primogen are Brian Lind.

The Toreador are more than slightly obsessed by beauty, and the beautiful.
Members of clan Toreador get called a lot of things, artists, layabouts, poseurs and hedonists. Most of them are probably true. They span the social elite and you will often find many of the most noted artists and musicians in history have been Toreador. To them unlife is for enjoying and they revel in all the things that are best about humanity. They seem to have a fascination with mortals and often are closer to them than any other clan, they mix seemlessly into mortal society and enjoy doing so immensely. Though many Toreador are gifted or inspired, they are slaves to fashion and fad. They often have social cliques in which you're either in or out,  and many find then condescending and arrogant. Like the Ventrue they make up the high society of kindred. Although unlike the Ventrue they don't want any of the responsibility. They prefer to spend their time in more creative ways, gladly handing over the inconvenience of diplomatic rule to anybody else who will take it on. They are often witty, but also catty. They change their minds as often as they do their underwear and no two can seem to agree about what is or isn't stylish. They like to be surrounded by luxury and beautiful things, most of them don't know the meaning of slumming it.

What do they look like? They are dedicated followers of fashion , though what chic and what is gauche is liable to change on a daily basis for them. Normally they only wear the finest or most sought after designer label. Sometimes they can be gigantically flamboyant seeking individuality through a street culture look or wild trend. They adore attention -to be noticed and worry more about not being talked about than being the subject of salacious gossip

What are they called?? The Toreadors? They're called the Degenerates o_o

Can I play one of these? Yesh, go ahead. Unrestricted Clan. Have fun ^-^

Where do they live? They like urbane uptown apartments and spacious salons, as well as museums, galleries and music venues. Nightclubs are also popular as are theatres. The Toreadors of Copenhagen are literally spread out all over the city.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? Only the beautiful and brilliant will do. Models, muses and actors are common. also often a Toreador will do something that other kindred seldom do, thy fall in love with a mortal and embrace out of romantic obsession, this is of course a passing infatuation on rare occasion is it actual love. Sometimes they also rationalize immortalising someone who is particularly gifted in an artistic field , or even somebody who is incredibly physically beautiful - simply by embracing them.

What kind of character is a Toreador She is a social high flyer, or a bohemian artist, musicians, poets  dancers, or gossip columnists are common. They prize social attributes such as fame, love to boast about a prestigious sire or peer. Also mental attributes are very desirable, as are abilities such as Expression or Performance. They don't really mix with most of the other clans or sects , they see them as being boorish and dull on the whole. They do have a close relationship with the Ventrue and like to be seen with the most aristocratic of kindred. Royalty and wealth it seems are never out of fashion!

What about Disciplines?- Auspex, Celerity and Presence

What about weaknessess?- Toreador are preternaturally attuned to the aesthetic and beautiful, but this sensitivity can prove dangerous. When a Toreador views, hears or even smells something that is truly beautiful — a person, a painting, a song, a particularly lovely sunrise — he may become entranced by the sensation. The Toreador will stand in rapt fascination for a scene or until the beautiful thing withdraws. Enraptured Toreador may not even defend themselves if attacked, though being wounded allows them to "break the spell."

Who's in charge? It depends who's "in",  they have a definite social order which is impossible to document , based around legendary social cliques which are their only intelligible form of government. To to the outsider this all may seem stunningly superficial but to the Toreador it's vitally important to have public adulation from ones peers. Sometimes, Toreador will  be drawn together in an a more innocuous artistic way, such as a rock group, dance troupe or something of the like. The Toreador leadership of Copenhagen are, uniquely enough, split between two characters - the head Harpy, and the most influential Toreador in the city, Miranda Ejnarsdöttir, and the Toreador Primogen, Virginie Touraine.

Known as the Warlocks the Tremere practice a form of power known as Blood Magic or Thaumaturgy- complete with complicated rituals and spells that have been passed down through the Bloodline. The clan was formed in Old World during the Dark Ages somewhat bizarrely by a mortal wizard casting a spell over a slumbering Antediluvian. He thus harnessed the power of vampirism and in this way became the first Tremere. The main seat of Tremere power is situated in Vienna, and there are various others throughout the world known as "chantries"

Make no mistake, Blood Magic is arguably the most dangerous and difficult to learn of skills amongst kindred, and only the Tremere are able to utilize it.  Some  fear the Tremere for their bizarre and clandestine ways as much for the potential of the power at their disposal, they are a highly organised and learned clan. They use every diplomatic tool that they can to gain allies and ensure their survival, though many kindred hate them hugely, and fear them just as much.

What do they look like? Tremere fashion is mostly this season black, black...and maybe some more black for good measure. Dark, functional and austere is the order of the day whether sporting the well cut lines of an Armani or sinister eccentricity in  Edwardian finery. Elder Tremere are sometimes seen bedecked with talismans and baubles inscribed with bizarre magical symbols which mean nothing to the layman. Think of fictional FBI agents Fox Mulder or Dana Scully and you have the stereotypical image of the modern Tremere.

Ooookay, what're their nickname? The Warlocks ... didn't I say that already?

Can I play one of these? Well, yes ... you can. They're restricted, though, but give me a real good sheet and you might be found worthy to join the House and Clan of Tremere.

Where do they live? They normally have their own private haven and live alone with perhaps one or two childer as assistants, the haven what ever its size or location invariably includes an extensive library or computerised lab that they will spend lots of time in. Tremere tend to hang around in groups at the Chantries, the local one being on Griffenfelds Street, nearby the Mosiac Cemetary, and nobody but Tremere are allowed in. I'm afraid so their secrets will have to be kept exactly that for now since I'm not one of them.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? The brainiacs and scientists of the world, people who probe into the paranormal and bizarre for their own  reasons. Often they have medical or other scientific or academic training. Forensics experts, investigators and techies are all archetypes for potential Tremere. These are the kind of mortals who are bound to come into contact with these most secretive kindred, therefore the most likely to be trusted and embraced. Most Tremere elders are male, it's not fair but it's true- don't blame me though!

What kind of character is a Tremere They are mature and highly intellectual and meticulously logical thinkers. Their primary concern is the pursuit of knowledge, control and truth into the nature of the kindred state.

What about Disciplines? Auspex, Dominate, Thaumaturgy

What about weaknessess? By clan law, all neonates must drink the blood of the clan’s seven elders when they are created. All Tremere are at least one step toward being blood bound to their elders, and therefore usually act with great clan loyalty--in order to avoid having such loyalty forced on them. What's more, this arrangement means that Tremere are hard-pressed to resist the will of their elders; the difficulty of any Dominate from a clan superior is one less.

Who's in charge? According to the texts what we know is there is a hierocracy second to none amongst the Tremere. There are seven "circles of power" that each Tremere must master to advance to the lowest level of apprentice. After these come the Regents who each rule over a Chantry - the local Regent being Martin Lysedahl. A point worth mentioning, is that the second most powerful Tremere in Copenhagen is Julian Munk - the Prince's personal advisor. Next on the grand Tremere power scale are the Lords who preside over several Chantries each, and finally there are forty nine Tremere who hold the title of Pontifrax. At the top of this giant mystical pyramid sits the Inner Council of Seven, who are supposedly almighty individuals. Since most people have never seen one though they could be as fictional as the tooth fairy. Who knows? Only the Tremere, I suppose!

Generally clan Ventrue is seen to be composed of  haughty and arrogant autocrats who often rule by proxy, but cannot abide to mix with those over whom they govern. Many other clans feel that the Ventrue are out of step with progress, and are stuffy as they keep to their old rules and etiquettes. Ventrue are mostly titled and are in possession of either old money and /or wealth gathered by their own entrepreneurial skills and business acumen. They state their primary concern is to perpetuate the Masquerade to further the interests of all kindred, though many argue that they are just greedy capitalists seeking to further the status of the Ventrue. On the side of the Ventrue, their agenda is often more complicated than mere material wealth, many feel genuine remorse for  being kindred but accept that the situation can not be changed. The clan is incredibly proud of it's lineage and see their role within the Camarilla to make the most of a bad deal , and lead by good example. For this reason the unenviable position of Prince or Justicar is all too often filled by a long-suffering Ventrue elder .The Ventrue also have a staid social order and expects it's members to respect and adhere to these ancient traditions and etiquettes or suffer the consequences. They seldom associate themselves with violence or aggression they find it vulgar and distasteful. They insist the way to deal with problematic situations with diplomacy, If violence is unavoidable it is normally carried out in proxy by a third party- Ventrue hands are never bloody.

What do they look like? Ventrue are creatures of habit and refine. They are always impeccably presented and groomed, sticking to subdued classic styles and veering away from outlandish fashions and faddy dress that seemingly draw unnecessary attention.  Older Ventrue are often loathe to give up old habits and are found wearing the dress of the time that they were embraced as a mortal- and many also still speak in old form.

Groovy; what're these called? What do you think? No wonder they're called the Blue Bloods

Can I play one? No problemo - they're unrestricted, so make a sheet to your hearts content

Where do they live? Only the best will do my dear! Ventrue dislike change and upheaval and many stick to their own mortal dwellings . These are normally mansions, estates, chataeuxs and ancient listed buildings. Younger Ventrue are more open to change but even in an urban setting their dwellings are oppulent and expensive. They favor the areas around the Marble Bridge and the royal palace, it seems.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? Ventrue are very fussy about whom they embrace, which is possibly why the clan is in decline. They only accept the elite of mortal society's populace. Candidates must be mature, of good breeding and possess traits of significance to the clan as a whole. it is not uncommon for a Ventrue sire to only embrace members of their own family or social circle.

What kind of character is a Ventrue A Ventrue character is usually well spoken, well travelled and expensively educated and is in possession of high mental and social traits. Of equal importance are skills in politics, etiquette and diplomacy being of good mortal breeding and having a prestigious sire. You will normally expect to find politicians, businessmen, royalty, society figures and wealthy philanthropists within clan Ventrue.

What about Disciplines?- Dominate, Fortitude and Presence

What about weaknessess?- Ventrue have exacting and rarefied tastes, even when it comes to blood. The player must pick a restriction on the type of blood her character can feed upon, e.g. only young men, no animals, only virgins, etc. The character will feed on no other type of blood, not even if she is starving or under duress.

Who's in charge? The elder, regular talks and meetings are held where a lot of discussion takes place. Some would argue that the Ventrue are all mouth and no trousers, but they consider this the only proper way to get things done. Social etiquette is rigid, politeness and impeccable etiquette are next to godliness in the ranks of the Ventrue The elder are revered and respected by the younger- well at least publicly anyway! Ventrue sires are very protective of and proud of their families and often vampires in this clan live convincingly as mortal families do. This of course helps the Ventrue to better guard the tenants of the Masquerade. The Ventrue Primogen is a successful businessman called Jonathan Lampe - another this to note, is that the Prince of Copenhagen is also Ventrue.

                           Independent Clans

The Giovanni stem from a long line of Italian merchant princes tracing back to the times of the  Renaissance. The clan itself  keep about them an air of respect and good manners, most of those whom meet them would comment on their affluence.  The Giovanni are a large Venetian family, some of which are still mortal and serve the main family as ghouls.

The Giovanni practice the dark arts of necromancy, often resulting in their being shunned by most kindred clans, most of whom are outraged and horrified with the Giovanni's lack of respect for the dead.  As a result the Giovanni were rooted out and hunted down then destroyed due to their unfavourable discipline, until they finally met with the Camarilla and called upon a truce, their part of the bargain being to stay out of the Jyhad and have no intervention into it.  This truce saved the family from genocide.

The Giovanni are an extremely wealthy family given their noble bloodline, and also from their harvesting of wealth through their dis-involvement with the Jyhad, though many of the kindred clans are fearing a storm from the Giovanni, as no-one would keep so much wealth and amass so many souls without something being on the horizon.

What do they look like? The Giovanni keep about them an air of presentability and a point of respect.  Mainly Italian and European bear solid statures along with olive complexions and dark hair.  Giovanni will dress well though not overly lavish, their preference being to keep their affluence.

Creepy; do they have any partiular nicknames? Yes, actually, they do - the Necromancers. But you already knew that.

Can I play one of these? Sure thing, but they are restricted, so make sure you provide a good sheet.

Where do they live? The Giovanni favor havens that represent their wealth, anything from Mansions to well appointed apartments and penthouses, though most Giovanni keep a back-up haven in unlikely places as well, sewers and graveyards for example.  It is also known for Giovanni to take up residence in hospitals where blood is in abundance and plenty of cover exists for them, but there's no Giovanni currently residing in Copenhagen.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? The Giovanni will only embrace those of their own family.

What kind of character is a Giovanni Giovanni normally have professional concepts as to best serve their clan.  Their natures and demeanors leaning towards selfishness and often crafty, though some are even deviants - a display of perversity even amongst the nobility.  Almost all Giovanni posses a comfortable amount of wealth and resources and will have retainers contacts and influence at their disposal. The Giovanni follow either the Path of Humanity or the Path of Bones.

What about Disciplines? Dominate, Necromancy, Potence

What about weaknessess?- Living creatures upon whom the Giovanni feed take twice as much damage as they otherwise should. Thus, if a Giovanni drank one Blood Point, her victim would take two Health Levels of damage. For this reason, Giovanni are among the most prominent blood bankers and take vitae from people who have died moments before whenever possible.

Who's in charge? Augustas Giovanni was the first to be embraced by one of the Antideluvian, whom had a profound interest in death and the dead, it is from this Antideluvian that the path of necromancy was granted unto the Giovanni family.

The followers of Set are also known among the kindred as the Setites, and are the most mistrusted of all the vampire clans and possibly not without good cause.

Vampires are, to all intents and purposes, evil creatures, of all vampires there are none more evil than the Setites. This unaligned clan are dedicated to causing the creator of their clan, (Set) to return from whatever hell he resides in.

Setites are evil through and through. Base and decadent they seek to corrupt everything and everyone. They enjoy nothing more than slowly destroying any who they perceive to be good, by turning then into creatures as sick and perverse as themselves.

They are very cult orientated. They set up temples, where they meet and practice their diabolic traditions.

Often a Setite will be behind a cult that has human followers. They see these as a way of furthering their corruption to humankind. Setites are hated by most other clans, and tend to be destroyed on sight.

What do they look like?  Setites have adapted many of the symbols and myths of the ancient Egyptian civilization to their own purposes, often wearing cloths and jewellery in that style.

Any nicknames for these? Yes, indeedy ... the Sssserpents :p

Nice ... can I play one? Yes, you can, if you provide a really good sheet .. the Setites of Copenhagen are somewhat restricted.

Where do they live? Setite havens can be anything from Temples, hidden libraries to simple crypts.  A Setite will take his haven very seriously upon finding it, consecrating it with as his own using ancient alchemical rituals. Kalid Ibrahim, Copenhagens only resident Setite, keeps his haven at Østerbro.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? The Followers of Set will usually embrace from their own retainers, though previously to this only those of Egyptian decent were chosen.  The Setites will embrace only the best, this is because any less will fail to gain any status among their clan, childer must also show a flair for manipulation and have good mental resilience.

What kind of character is a Setite Setites attributes are based on mental and social skills, and will posses a fair amount of knowledge in the occult and its practice.  Setites will also have contacts within the underground organizations where they can gain much of their resources.  Their demeanors will shift to suit their occassion. A Setite will most likely follow the Path of Typhoon.

What about Disciplines?-Presence, Obfuscate, Serpentis

What about weaknesses? Setites are extremely susceptible to sunlight. Double the dice for damage from any exposure to it. They are also susceptible to bright lights and subtract one from all Dice Pools while in bright light (i.e., spotlights, nightclub strobe lights, searchlights, magnesium flares, etc.).

Who's in charge?  The Setites will establish themselves in temples, making a hierarchy within the temple based on age and wisdom, though all control stems back to the Dark Hierophant - a Methuselah -  whom is rumored to dwell in the Grand Temple of Set in Africa, and his authority among the clan is absolute. Any newcoming Setite, will want to seek out Khalid Ibrahim to announce his/her presence in Khalid's territory.

The Assamite hail from the furthest reaches of Saudia Arabia and Africa and like many of the Eastern clans is very different to those of the Camarilla and Sabbat. They are assassins for hire but their fee is not a low one. The Assamite prefer to take their payment in blood, the blood of other kindred.

The act of Diablerie, that is the act of one kindred draining another is the mainstay of the Assamite way of life. An Assamite values this above all other things as he believes it will bring him closer to his creator. It is true that by committing this act a kindred can "jump" generations and gain power, but generally Diablerie is looked upon as cannibalism and is a distasteful subject amongst most other clans. A few years ago the Assamite were cursed by the Tremere at the behest of the Camarilla as a whole. The curse means that now Assamite were physically unable to partake of kindred blood. it goes without saying that this angered the clan, and many attempted to dodge the curse by hiding or allying with the Sabbat. Recently the clan claims that it has broken the curse and has resumed its cannibalistic ways. Not only has this circumvention been made, but also the Assamite are no longer forced to tithe a percentage of their payment to their sire, the reasons for this are unknown.  The clan is generally feared for it's outlandish and barbaric practices as much as it is respected for it's military prowess. Mostly they are hired by the Sabbat for their own purposes. The Camarilla seldom involve themselves with the Assamite, and if they must it is all usually kept taboo.

What do they look like? The Assamite are always dark or black skinned, also the older an Assamite gets- the darker her skin becomes. They are almost always Arabian, or African and their ethinic origin is reflected when they become kindred. Straight dark hair, deep eyes, aquiline noses and lithe agile builds are not uncommon. Their dress is functional and always stylish.

What are their nicknames? The Assassins. That's kinda what they are.

Sounds like my kind of fellows. Can I play one? You can, if you can provide me with a good - really good - sheet, because they are heavily restricted.

Where do they live? The official base of the Assamite - known as Alamut - is located somewhere in northern Turkey. Operatives in the field seek unremarkable dwellings to melt into their surroundings and deter unwanted attentions. There is currently no Assamite presence in Copenhagen.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? Generally people from the Middle East, or Africa. Often as mortals they have experience of killing, terrorism and assassination. Recently some westerners have been embraced so the bloodline will no doubt diversify as a result. Normally these people are embraced for their abilities and loyalties alone.

What kind of character is an Assamite Physical strength and dexterity are important to an Assamite. Skills are vital too- melee, dodge, firearms and wits all desirable. Many Assamite increasingly have computing or technical abilities. A low generation bloodline and also a prominent sire are both aspirations for an Assamite assassin.

Suitable paths for an Assamite are the Path of Enlightenment, The Path of Blood or the Path of Humanity, depending on their particular code of honour and alignments.

What about Disciplines?-Celerity, Obfuscate, Quietus

What about weaknessess?- In light of their recent circumvention of the Tremere blood-curse, the Assamites have reacquired their appreciable taste for vitae, particularly that of other Kindred. Having been forced to rely on alchemic blood potions for much of its modern history, the clan is easily addicted to the blood of other vampires. Any time an Assamite drinks or even tastes the blood of another Kindred, she must make a Self-Control roll (difficulty equal to the number of blood points ingested +3). If this roll is failed, she is addicted, and she must make another Self-Control roll the next time she comes in contact with Kindred vitae. Failing this roll sends the vampire into a sanguinary frenzy, in which she will do anything physically possible to partake of as much blood as possible. When (not if) the character's addiction manifests, the consuming need for blood should be roleplayed - Clan Assamite no longer sees the need to hide its vampiric nature

Who's in charge? Though the clan seems unruly in truth it is the opposite. The Assamite operate covertly under the clan's own set of codes and laws.

These wild looking vampires are sometimes mistaken for Gangrel. They are however totally opposite in demeanor. They love to party and hate all forms of violent conflict. They are tricksters and rogues and like Malkavians, they enjoy a good practical joke.

To a Ravnos lying is an art form to be developed in one's self and admired in others. They tend to associate with circus folk. They are usually the first ones to be blamed if anything is stolen and they are around, for good reason, they are thieves as well as liars.

Ravnos will specialize in a particular type of crime, (cat burglary, pick pocketing, etc.).  To accuse a Ravnos of a crime they did not commit is liable to cause great offence.  To become a great criminal is the goal of many of this clan.

The Ravnos will go anywhere the please and have dealings with anyone who will serve their purpose regardless of sects or clans.  The elders of the Ravnos barely acknowledge the Camarilla or the Sabbat at all, referring to both as social clubs for the paranoid.  The younger members rejecting both sides equally as they have no wish to be bonded by the rules of others and so decline membership to both sides.

What do they look like? - The younger members of the Ravnos clan descended from Gypsy families keeping darker complexions with dark hair and eyes.  the Eastern half of the clan are of Indian blood, although some have embraced mortals form Western cultures.

Hmm, any nicknames for these? That would be the Deceivers. Is that your wallet? Sorry, you must have dropped it on the ground o_o

Woot! Tricksters all, I love them! Can I play one? Yesh, if you can present me with a stellar sheet, because they are restricted and hard to get. But give it a shot.

Where do they live? - The Ravnos, as you would expect are nomadic in nature and will make their havens wherever they can find them along their traveling routes not being particularly fussy in where they sleep. There are no Ravnos currently living in Copenhagen.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? - The Ravnos will embrace from any culture though they still have to fit a certain template, this being that the mortal will have a certain facility for misdirection, barter and mischief.

What kind of character is a Ravnos - The Ravnos posses nomadic concepts and as a result their demeanors can change to fit a certain situation.  The Ravnos will tend to have high social attributes as well as primary talents.  The Ravnos are well traveled always moving on the road seeing and doing as much as they can and creating mischief along the way. Suitable Paths for a Ravnos is the Path of Humanity or the Path of Paradox.

What about Disciplines?- Animalism, Chimerstry, Fortitude

What about weaknesses?- Ravnos are infamous for their trickery. Each has a specific area of thievery and deception in which she is especially interested, and practices it every chance she gets. In fact, a Ravnos must make a Self-Control roll (difficulty 6) not to perform her crime of choice when the opportunity presents itself.
The player should decide during the creation process what type of "crime" attracts the character. Some common crimes include con games, thievery, gambling, cheating and extortion.

Who's in charge? - Most Ravnos will trust no-one, not even their own clanmates, though they will work together with their own when times call for it.  Recently the elders and ancients of the clan have awoken and have contacted the clan members, though the situation has yet to see any change, with no-one presiding over another.

The Daughters of Cacophony isn't really a Clan, but a bloodline,  and they are a pretty modern occurance that seems to have popped up somewhere between 1690 and 1750. There has been no chronicle of their bloodline prior to this.

Anyone who meets a Daughter, will surely never forget the experience. Their strength lies in their beautiful song and exquisitely alluring voices - most people think that they are some kind of offshoot of Clan Toreador, which is a pretty accurate assumption - another tale that goes, is that they are a Baali bloodline, but nobody can confirm whether any of these are true. The Daughters certainly aren't speaking about it.

Another tale, a wild legend, is that the bloodline was created when a Sidhe Fae enchatress was embraced by a Toreador that fell in love with her voice and sought to preserve it forever. Its a nice story- but that's all. The Toreador themselves have remained detatched from the Daughters, but seem to respect their peculiar talents non the less. The Daughters are very loyal to one another, and are outside of Camarilla rule- choosing to remain Independant.

Although each is blessed by the voice of an angel, the power of a daughter remains destinctly bi-polar, they can become as horrific as they are enchanting at the drop of a hat, and a vile lunacy can ensue upon the victim. Some would argue that The Daughters owe more of their abilities to the Malkavian than the Toreador, but this is all mere conjecture- the fact is that they can be a dangerous honey trap. Caution would be advised. Each voice although beautiful, can damage the mind to the point of no repair.

What do they look like? Daughters can vary wildly in their appearance- if not conventionally beautiful, a daughter will have a high charisma score, there's just something about her that can't be ignored.

Some may be traditional and sport costume dress, others will be very modern in appearance and wear a street trend. They always stand out whichever way the cookie crumbles. Theatrical  or just damn stylish is the name of the game.

Do these have any nickname? Everybody does. They are called the Sirens, and not without good reason.

Beautiful! Can I play one? O_o Yes ... with a more than perfect sheet, you can. They are very heavily restricted, so be sure you pour all of your soul into the sheet, and make it exceptionally good and descriptive. No promises you will play one. Any male characters will be instantly rejected.

Where do they live? Haven tends to go with territory. Some will live in a theatre, opera house or concert hall, other more modern daughters will have  a pack haven, such as a tour bus or trailer. They tend to have some element of refine about them in most cases. There -is- a Daughter in Copenhagen, by the name of Anaya.

Who's a likely candidate for Embrace? - sorry guys..Only females are embraced- it's a female only clan! The talented, mature and beautiful are a safe bet. Some males were embraced a whiles back, but the whole thing turned into a disaster. Any that remain are Antitribu, Caitliff or have since been destroyed. EIther way the Daughters will not affiliate themselves with the unfortunate males.

What kind of character is a Daughter? Physical and social attributes come out on top here. The Daughters are always musically inclined, its up to you what form this concept takes. They always have the Merit Enchanting Voice.

What about Disciplines?-Melpominee, Fortitude, Presence

What about weaknessess?- Permanently  Distracted. The Daughters of Cacophony are so caught up in their music that they hear it 24/7. As a result of this distraction, the difficulties of all a Daughter's Perception rolls are increased by one. Additionally, a Daughter's Alertness can never exceed three

Who's in charge? Take a guess, I have no idea!
